by Thanks to two generous donors from Phoenix, Arizona, the school was able to purchase new water filters for all of the classrooms at both Spitler and Kurata schools. Water from the schools’ wells can be filtered through these devices and provide clean drinking water to all of the students at both schools. Students are encouraged to bring plastic water bottles to school so that they can take clean water to their homes to drink when they are not in school. Most of the village homes do not have access to clean water.
