It was a great celebration as 103 graduates (47 girls) were honored for successfully completing their primary education at Spitler and Kurata Schools.
Eight years ago we celebrated our very first graduation, and we provided each of the 25 graduates with a bicycle, a new uniform, a pair of shoes and some school supplies, so there were no detriments to their continuing their education at middle school.
We are very grateful to our donors who continue to support this tradition even when the number of graduates exceeds 100 children.
A special thanks to Wei Ling Tan & friends, the Stiftung Liskamm Foundation, Florida International University students, and Richard Tan, for their generous donations toward this program.
