At Spitler School we are in awe of all Moms. Many of our hard working teachers are also great moms, raising their children on a small teacher’s salaries. Most of our students live in extreme poverty, but most of them have a mom at home who manage to feed their children, make sure they are in school, and wash their little school uniforms without any running water in their homes.

Many of our donors are wonderful mothers and grandmothers who have reached beyond their own families and have figuratively wrapped their arms around our 800 students with their love and their financial resources. To all the moms associated with Spitler School – THANK YOU.

We send thanks to visitors from the Network For Children in the Future. This great organization based in Japan visited the school and donated 37 used bicycles. Some of these bikes will be distributed to students who live the farthest from the school and are from the poorest families. Some bikes may also be given to our graduating sixth graders who will need transportation if they wish to continue their education in middle school.

To our generous friends from Japan we say: Arigatou (thank you).

Over the past several years, we have welcomed many small groups traveling with the Road Scholar travel program. We are always happy to have these groups visit the school. We find that Road Scholars are real travelers. They not only come to see the ancient temples and enjoy the amazing sites of Cambodia, but they are learners, interested in the history, the culture, and the people. They are also generous visitors who appreciate the value of education. Many of these great travelers welcome the opportunity to support Spitler School with their generous donations.
